The Mac version starts at the boundary.
Local transport first. Cross-product reach only through explicit contracts.
The first Mac workflow connects OmniChat to Nook’s bounded warranty retrieval slice. Nook remains the source of truth, and OmniChat receives only the fields needed for the question. The architecture is being built around a local Mac process boundary rather than cloud sync or a hidden shared database.
- Nook stays Mac-only. Its local vault remains on the Mac and is not exposed to the iOS app.
- Retrieval is explicit. The first contract covers warranty records and active coverage only.
- Sensitive values stay out. Secrets, cards, passwords, Keychain values, unrelated records, and attachment bytes do not cross the boundary.
- Uncertainty survives. Conflicting dates or coverage notes appear as warnings instead of becoming confident fiction.
- No false bridge. iOS OmniChat does not claim access to the Mac vault while a real Mac transport is still being built.
