Privacy Policy — Recallary

Overview

Recallary is designed to keep your captures on your device. Free and Pro features process screenshots, receipts, notes, and voice memos locally.

Data stored on your device

• Captured images, notes, transcribed audio text, OCR text, and classification metadata
• Preferences such as Share Extension default bucket and Pro unlock state
• Optional custom buckets and rules you create

This data lives in the app sandbox and the App Group container shared with the Share Extension and Widgets (group.com.sg1labs.lifecapture).

Peer-to-peer sync

Recallary can sync captures between your own devices (Mac, iPhone, iPad) directly over your local network — no server, no cloud account. Sync is peer-to-peer and opt-in via Device Sync in Settings.

• Sync traffic stays on your local Wi-Fi network and never passes through SG1 Labs servers
• Devices are paired by you, and pairing is managed in the app
• Sync frames are encrypted (AES-GCM) with a key established during pairing; only your paired devices can read them
• Deleting a capture on one device is treated as a local deletion and does not erase it from other devices

You can disable Device Sync at any time; all features except cross-device sync keep working.

Data we do not collect

Recallary v1 does not:

• Require an account
• Operate a Recallary backend that receives your captures
• Sell your personal data
• Use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs

Permissions

Recallary may request:

• Photos — import screenshots and images
• Camera / Document scanner — capture receipts
• Microphone + Speech recognition — voice memos to text
• Notifications — optional task reminders (Pro)
• Local Network (macOS) — discover and sync with your other devices

You can deny permissions; related features simply stay unavailable.

Purchases

Recallary Pro is a one-time In-App Purchase processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. Restore Purchases uses Apple's StoreKit entitlements.

Widgets and Share Extension

Widgets and the Share Extension read/write only the shared App Group data needed to queue and display your captures. They do not transmit that data off-device.

Children's privacy

Recallary is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy when features change (for example, optional cloud sync). Material changes will update the date above and the App Store privacy details.
